Teen volunteer keeps seniors busy with interactive video game programs

Jeremy Wilde is one impressive kid. This past April in Albuquerque, N.M., the 13-year-old won the 2009 Junior Volunteer of the Year Award from the National Association of Activity Professionals during its annual convention. NAAP is the only national organization that represents activity professionals working primarily in geriatric settings.

What's impressive is what he did to win it.

This isn't your run-of-the-mill new restaurant.

Sure, the food promises to be tasty, the service on the up-and-up and the prices reasonable, but the ultimate goal isn't to simply make food in exchange for money. It is to bring in enough money to ultimately help local men and women get off the streets and into steady jobs and housing.
