Transition to online-only brochure leaves county instructors seeking students

By F. ANDREW TAYLOR
VIEW STAFF WRITER

Clark County Parks and Recreation offers hundreds of classes in dozens of community centers across the valley. The county provides the space, brings in instructors and posts an extensive catalog online. Now, organizers just need to make sure all those elements get together with the most important element -- the public.

Until last year, the county printed a traditional paper brochure that was available across the valley. Cutbacks forced the county to forgo printing and distributing the catalogs, relying on a PDF document on the county Web site, www.accessclarkcounty.com. The document can be obtained by going to the parks and recreation page and clicking on the brochure banner near the bottom of the page.
