Aliante resident Margo Young never gave much thought to the idea of becoming a beauty queen -- that was, until she was crowned Ms. Senior Nevada 2009 last month.

Young, 65, a professional dancer by trade, said that she has been so engrossed in personal projects, such as the senior dance group The Sun City Steppers, that she never contemplated what it might be like to compete in a beauty pageant.
