A perfect fit
Designer knits creativity, skill to craft Shakespearean costumes

She can take multiple scarves and make them into m'lady's shawl, cut apart bedskirting for a fair maiden's billowing skirt or use fake fur to edge a king's jacket. When it comes to Shakespeare and some other community theater favorites, Barbara Grant is one of the costumers to whom productions turn.

Some modern materials need a period touch. A man's white shirt, for example, looked too new, too bright, too ... clean.

City to pay $370,900 to give up maintenance of The Hills Park

The cost of doing business just cost the city of Las Vegas $370,900.

The city recently relinquished control of The Hills Park, 9100 Hillpointe Road, when it deeded the approximately 7.7-acre park to the Summerlin Council.
