Celtic event to step off
Highland games, bagpipers, dancers and more planned

If you have a kilt to don or a clan to claim, the 2010 annual Celtic Gathering and Highland Games has a crowd for you.

The sixth annual event takes place Saturday and Sunday at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road.

Resident's cancer battle spurs local fundraiser
Spiritual healers band together to put on Saturday event

Members of the spiritual and metaphysical community are banding together to help a strong force among them battle a powerful foe -- throat cancer.

Centennial Hills resident Michael Bradley was recently diagnosed with the ailment and is currently receiving treatment in Los Angeles. Payments for three months' worth of treatments totaled more than $60,000, and Bradley doesn't have health insurance.
