As the song goes, everything old is new again. If you remember that song, the new supper club that opens Friday at Sam's Town might be just the place for you. The new venue is called Cafe in the Park Presents Wes Winters 88 Keys Club.

"I've been holding on to this idea for a while now, waiting for the right time and place," said Wes Winters, pianist and entertainer, "The vice president and general manager over there, Mike Garms, grew up with supper clubs and loves the idea."

Many victims go unnoticed because of gender stereotypes
By MICHAEL LYLE
VIEW STAFF WRITER

Domestic violence doesn't discriminate against race, religion, socioeconomic status or gender. Because of social stigmas and acquired generalizations, activists are working to re-educate society on how to recognize victims beyond determining factors such as sex, gender and gender identification.

However, heterosexual men can be victims, as can people in same-sex and transgender relationships.
