Students in the leadership class at Tarkanian Middle School learn about participating in community service through the course's curriculum.

On a Friday at the end of January, the middle school students spent their afternoon in the campus library at 5800 W. Pyle Ave. creating pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer, a charity that donates pillowcases to young cancer patients in hospitals around the United States.
