MICHAEL LYLE/VIEWHenderson firefighters clean up Thursday after putting water down on the remains of a multiple-alarm fire at a wood pallet storage yard at 431 Mark Leany Drive near Boulder Highway and Sunset Road. A fire broke out at the site June 8, causing no injuries but resulting in significant property damage. Firefighters have returned to the site several times to ensure that the fire does not reignite. A nearby warehouse was damaged during the fire when its roof collapsed, and surrounding businesses, including a Holiday Inn Express on Boulder Highway, were evacuated. Henderson Fire Chief Doug Stevens also said surrounding businesses sustained minor damages.

SEMINAR ON LIVING JOYFULLY TO BE OFFERED june 24
The Henderson Multigenerational Center is hosting a workshop called Living Joyfully from 7 to 8 p.m. June 24.

HENDERSON LIBRARIES PUT A SPIN ON STORYTIME
Henderson Libraries announces a new version of storytime called "Carnival of the Animals" taking place this summer.
The program features the telling of "Three Little Pigs," "Tortoise and the Hare" and "The Ugly Duckling."
The performances by Fratello Marionetter are planned for 1:30 p.m. June 23 at Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway; 4 p.m. June 23 at Malcolm Library, 2960 Sunridge Heights Parkway; 9:30 a.m. June 24 at the Galleria Library inside the Galleria at Sunset mall, 1300 E. Sunset Road; and 4 p.m. June 24 at the Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway.

WINDERMERE REAL ESTATE MAKES DONATION TO HOPELINK
Windermere Real Estate announced it has donated $25,000 to the nonprofit HopeLink.
Windermere raised endowments during 2009. For every transaction an agent made, a portion of the commission was donated to a charitable foundation. The money allows HopeLink to provide temporary shelter for families and individuals who have become homeless.
The donation was presented at a ceremony June 9 at HopeLink's headquarters, 178 Westminster Way.
SAFE NEST NEEDS DONATED SWIMSUITS
Color Me Mine Paint-It-Yourself Ceramic Studio is holding a Divas Night for Safe Nest from 5 to 9 p.m. June 24 at its store at The District at Green Valley Ranch. The evening's goal is to collect new women's and girl's swimsuits. The fee for studio painting will be waived if a swimsuit is donated. The only cost paid is for the piece of pottery.

BEREAVEMENT CAMP FOR KIDS IS TAKING REGISTRATION
Camp Mariposa, a bereavement camp hosted annually by the Nathan Adelson Hospice at Torino Ranch, is taking registration for the July 16-18 camp session.
The overnight camp for children is designed to facilitate the natural grieving process and provide opportunities for bereavement exploration, balanced with arts and crafts, sports, music, storytelling and other recreational activities. This year will be the camp's 20th anniversary.
Camp Mariposa is open to any children between 7 and 12 who have lost a loved one. To request an application or for information, contact Sue Condron at Nathan Adelson Hospice at 796-3167 or Cynthia Drew at 938-3928.

The camp is fully funded by the Nathan Adelson Hospice, with no cost to the camper's family. A $25 refundable deposit is requested with the application o reserve a space. Reservations should be received by July 1.
